There are certain businesses that require the goods they provide to be held at a specific temperature until such times as they are ready to be used or delivered. The problem here, particularly with the catering and florist industries, is that those goods may need to be kept at a location that is off-site and away from the main facility. This is where Buderim refrigeration cold room hire becomes a truly invaluable service, as it means having a place to set-up and store those temperature sensitive items until they are ready to be used.
While it may sound as though these portable rooms may be costly and perhaps even a little inefficient, nothing could be further from the truth. The costs associated with hiring a cold room for an event, or even on a long-term basis, are not as expensive as you might imagine, and the units themselves are incredibly well maintained so that they operate at maximum efficiency for as long as you need them to. There are also steps in place to take existing units and convert them to a more efficient operating system, which was something that was recently demonstrated in Colombia.
Cold Rooms Economical
The exporting of flowers is big business in that country, and the success of said business relies heavily on having those flowers maintained at very specific temperatures. Overall, the Colombian flower industry uses about 31.1 million kWh of cooling capacity, which can be an expensive commodity. They recently switched over a massive cold storage facility from an R-22 based system to an R290 system, allowing them to achieve energy savings of 20%, which is a not insubstantial amount when you look at it in terms of dollars and cents.
There were some concerns about the safety, specifically in regards system pressure and flammability, with making this switch, but there was an incredible amount of testing done beforehand to ensure that the switch was as safe and efficient as need be. The results speak for themselves, and it also helps that everyone involved in the project worked so hard to ensure that every single existing regulation was adhered to when changing over to a different system. The project was not without its issues though, as funding and a lack of trained personnel made the process a good deal more difficult than it had to be.
Here in Australia, there is no lack of technical expertise when it comes to cold rooms, and there is always an expert available to help with the moving and installation of your hired unit whenever you need one. All the specialised equipment required to move a unit, no matter how large, is also provided, which means that the only thing that you need to worry about is making sure that the products used to fill the hired cold room are ready to go once it has been delivered and installed.
